Albert Einstein was not only the most famous physicist and mathematician in the world, he was also a capable amateur violinist. He played duets with the equally famous pianist Artur Rubinstein. After repeatedly coming in to play at the wrong point in the music, Rubinstein said to him, “The trouble with you Albert, is that you can’t count!”
Away from music, Einstein produced the first quantum theory of photoelectricity in which photons (light) landing on a metal surface release electrons. His theory was later verified by experiment.
